New York is one of the biggest cities in the country, and it is very crowded with people, though I actually did not realize how crowded it was until the last

time I visited in spring break. Now I would not say that New York was or is a dangerous place, but let me just say that some places were safer than others,

and lucky for me I lived in one of the most peaceful areas. Back in New York I was considered to be spoiled because I lived right next to the Time Warner

Building, Columbus Circle, I was close to Bryant Park, Rockefeller, Empire State, I was at a walking distance from my school. My usual routine for school

was that I would get up at 7:00 to 7:10 am, eat breakfast, and walk to school unlike others who had to get up at 6:00 to 6:30 am for a bus. My old school

usually had two math periods and one humanities period that has been divided into a reading period in the morning, and a social studies period in the

afternoon, and one FPA per trimester which were either Dance class, Multimedia and Film, or Art. Only once a week we had one language period which

was Spanish. So from what you may hear is that my old school was not very organized, but I was given the opportunity to join a club called The Model

United Nations. We did not meet up many times, but when we did it was for practice speeches for when we had to present our real speech at the United

Nations, and The Grand Hyatt. Aside from school I am now going to talk about some of my activities, and you may think that I was able to do a lot at New

York but the reality was I could not, mostly due to safety, and because most of the people I knew at my school lived far away, from uptown or downtown

Manhattan all the way up to Riverdale, and yes I knew people that lived in Riverdale. New York is filled with things that can easily blow our minds, and I

think the most common one was the art. Art was everywhere in Central Park, Times Square, Union Square, and Washington Square Park, all I could see

were colors creation from people who probably do not even have a real home, and it inspired me. The truth is I wish I moved to Connecticut a bit earlier but

if it weren’t for New York, I would not be the person I am today, I would not even have a taste for art if it weren’t for New York, and I am glad now that I

got to spend a lot of time in New York City to build the person I am today.
