Callie’s Prepositional Phrase Poem

Aboard a small one aisle plane

Round the corner of the doorway

Among all the noise and conversations

Despite my fear skyrocketing

Though a window I could see

Outside workers putting luggage on the plane

At first glance I couldn’t see my seat

But when I looked again it was right next to me

Around another corner

Beside the window I sat

Beneath all of the fear

Within seconds the excitement appeared

I flew.

  1. Nicely done, Callie. Nearly all those lines are, in fact, prepositional phrases. I’d like for you to try and identify the ones that aren’t.
