After school ended
Excluding the work ahead
For the months that would follow
Underneath umbrellas
In the pool
Unlike the school year
Outside was not cool
Above us was sunshine
Around us we’re friends
After those months it would never end
Before returning back to school
Since the sun would start to fade
Along with our memories
And the friends that we made
For a summer well spent
