Micah’s Prepositional Poem

Jaws Bridge, Martha’s Vineyard

After an eternity of kayaking

Despite the soreness in my arms

With our newfound love of Martha’s Vineyard

Towards the bridge where boundaries are tested

While the cars sped down the highway

With concerned looks on their faces

Up on the rail

Beside my friends

As the first signs of a storm grazed my shoulder

Into the frigid Sengekontacket Pond

We jumped.

  1. Great poem, Micah. I especially like the line “Towards the bridge where boundaries are tested.” The Vineyard is truly a special place.
