Meghan’s Prepositional Phrase Poem

Across the Atlantic,

During Winter Break,

Beside the Arctic Circle,

Near a puffin colony,

Considering the troll tales of locals,

After a long day of whale-watching,

Amid a gelid wilderness,

From 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.,

In remote locations,

Outside civilization and the warm rental car,

Beneath a dazzling winter night sky,

Following the emerald-green, dancing lights,

We marveled.

  1. Excellent poem, Meghan. Coming up with a good verb is one of the hardest parts of this assignment, and clearly you considered that because you came up with a good one: “marveled.” Nicely done. That must have been a great trip.
