Bio-poem: Sarah

Sarah

Liberal, colorful, dreamer, slightly a butterfingers

Daughter of David and Katherine, cousin to Bruce and Fred

Lover of well-written books, unique music, and nature

Who feels thankful to live in an open-minded time, to wake up and have necessities and

luxuries, and have autonomy

Who finds happiness in chocolate, cold weather, and art projects

Who needs time to meditate, more training for the mile run, and some tea

Who gives time and attention to her mom’s advice, too little observation to fellow people,

and too much concentration to books

Who fears embarrassment, bugs, and the fact we have Trump as president

Who would like to see humankind stop destroying Earth, cliche books in fewer number,

And less bigotry

Who enjoys witty comedy, not exercising, and yoga

Who likes to wear short-sleeved cotton shirts, even in winter, running pants and shirts from

dance in gym class, and pajamas all day on the weekend

Born in Norwalk, CT, resident of Easton

  1. Sarah,

I really enjoyed reading your peice of writing. I am really eager to know more about the line where you said “Who feels thankful to live in an open-minded time, to wake up and have necessities and luxuries, and have autonomy”. I really got me thinking why you chose your word sense and how you feel thankful to live in an open-minded time. I like that specific line becuase I can realate to how you feel. If you think about how you wrote some of your lines, you might now realize that they are kind of like a run-on sentance. It isn’t a big deal but they defanitly go on a little bit and personally, if that was solved, then this peice of writing would be fantastic. It is so good and I can defanitly picture how your life is, since this is a biography poem. Thank you for sharing your poem!
